Anthony Turner Jr., native of Smithfield, VA,  has made himself available to God first, and to numerous ministries across the 757 and areas abroad with his music ministry. He is the Founder and Director of Evidence of Praise, The Pentecostal Takeover Fellowship Choir, and former Director of the Norfolk State University Voices of Inspiration Gospel Choir, where he is now an alumni. During his time at NSU, he became one of the 16 Founding Chapter Fathers of Rho Mu Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Inc. (#9-Ike Turner), and was also a member of the NSU Concert Choir and Spartan Legion Marching Band (MDF$).

He serves as the 3rd Ecclesiastical Jurisdictional Music Department President of the Church of God in Christ, Bishop-Designate Jonathan Willis Sr., Jurisdictional Prelate. He serves with the International Music Department of the Church Of God In Christ under the leadership of Dr. Myron Williams as a Chief Levite for the International Youth Choir, led by Evangelist Kierra Sheard-Kelly, as well as the Evangelism Department organist under the leadership of Pastor Gary Spreewell and Elect Lady Dorinda Clark-Cole. He is also the Director of Music and Arts for the Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Petersburg, VA, and also serves as the lead musician for Hope Christian Ministries with Pastor Mark Vereen.

Although he is a musician, he doesn't neglect the fact that God has called him to be His mouth piece. He graduated from the Mt. Carmel School of Evangelism in 2005, where he was officially licensed as an Evangelist in the Lord's church. He became a licensed Minister in the Church of God in Christ in 2018 and became a licensed Elder in 2021. 

 

Anthony released his anticipated project entitled "Sounds Like Church" with Evidence of Praise on December 30th, 2016. In July 2015, Anthony was privileged to have his hit song entitled "I Wanna Be Holy" recorded on the newly released project "We Win" with Apostle Hurman Murray, produced by Jonathan Nelson. Other released material includes "There's Nobody Like Jesus," "Joy Restored," "In His Hands" tributing the late Mattie Moss Clark, and "Nobody But God," tributing the late Bishop Ronald E. Brown. 

 

Anthony takes great pride in being saved, very demonstrative with his praise and worship, and is very protective of the things of God and the people of God. Anthony will never forget that it was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that graced him with this gift, and it's by His might that he is able to exercise this ability through the ministry of music.
